Mediation

Roseville, Minnesota Mediation Lawyers

Attorney Tom Lee provides mediation services to help people resolve issues without the financial and emotional cost of litigating those issues in court.

Mediation involves having an attorney who is a neutral party in a divorce case to work toward a negotiated out of court settlement of issues such as child custody, asset division, and alimony.

Mediation is an economical way to figure out solutions to common divorce issues without the cost of adversarial opposing lawyers getting involved. Mediation is not binding on either party. An agreement reached in mediation can't be used against you in your divorce action.

The role of a mediator is to act as a neutral party and to lead the parties to making their own decisions. Since the mediator is by definition a neutral party, any mediator cannot also work as an attorney representing either party. Mediation, which is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is recommended in all divorce cases in Minnesota, unless there is a domestic violence issue. An increasing number of Minnesota counties require divorcing couples to complete mediation before going to court.

We will diligently work with you to find the solutions to address your unique circumstances and to position you to meet your objectives.
